Pinatas

Introducing the Piñata: A vibrant, hollow container traditionally made of papier-mâché and filled with treats. Its history is a global journey: originating in China, where paper figures filled with seeds were broken for good harvest luck, Marco Polo introduced it to Italy. It then spread to Spain, and finally to Mexico via Spanish missionaries in the 16th century. In Mexico, its use evolved with religious symbolism: the traditional seven-point star represents the seven deadly sins. Blows from a stick symbolize the triumph of good over evil, and the scattering of candy represents generosity and grace. Today, piñatas are a beloved activity at birthday parties, holidays like Christmas, and various celebrations worldwide, creating excitement and lasting memories.
